Throughout November we've been busy collecting donations for a Bedfordshire food bank as part of a collective group-wide initiative to spread some joy this Christmas.
Parents and families of our Nursery donated dried and tinned goods alongside festive treats across the month in order to support families during the festive period, through Bedford Food Bank.
Alongside donations left by kind-hearted parents, our team were able to ‘top-up’ the goods, thanks to a monetary donation from CC Nurseries, with some much-loved Christmas favourites from selection boxes to crackers and more.
Donations were delivered to the food bank by team members and Becks Ogilvie and Samantha Blunt on Tuesday 7 December.
Deputy Manager Tanya said: “This is our second large donation to the Bedford Food Bank since we opened in August 2020, and long may it continue.
“Part of our vision and values is to ensure our children are involved within their local community and the wider world so not only do activities such as this allow us to extend our learning, it also enables us to support additional families outside of the Nursery setting.
“We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our parents and families who rise to every challenge we set and look forward to continuing our partnerships within the community in 2022.”
CC Nurseries Group provides inspirational Early Childhood Learning and Care to nearing 800 families in settings across England and Scotland, and the group has recently been nominated as finalists in the Business Development Category of the Nursery Management Today (NMT) Awards 2021.
